Origin of the Long Tom River Name- kynghistory.ky.gov Aaron Baker explores flooded roads in West Lane County Oregon. Coyote Creek is cresting its banks causing erosion and extreme saturation of the soil. A large Oak tree along the bank broke free of the soil and landed across the Cantrell road. Aaron witnessed off camera a speeding car crashing into the tree. The Long Tom River between Veneta and Elmira, Oregon crested it's banks just below a level not seen since the flood of 1996.
