Open Question: Unlikely, but possible BCS question...?

Here is my assumption, the Big XXII Champion and the SEC Champion will play for the NC in Miami. However, what IF... Mizzou upsets the South Champ and becomes the Big XXII Champion... giving the nod then to USC, I would think... but what if Oregon Sate wins out and is PAC 10 Champion? Will they go all the way down to Penn St. or (Dare I say a non-BCS school) to get a Conference Champ in the BCS Title game? I guess after watching Georgia be arguably the best team in the country at the end of last year and not get in because they weren't Conference Champ is making me wonder if it is NECESSARY to get to the big game? I remember talk of Michigan-OSU 2 years ago, but that never materialized... So what happens if we have another crazy week in football and the best teams don't even win their conferences?
